Biography

Victoria J.L. FisherVictoria was born in England and lived there until she was ten years old. After moving to Canada with her family, she grew up in Ottawa and then moved to Toronto to study at the University of Toronto. As of September 2010, Victoria is once again in England, where she is now working as a teacher in Buckinghamshire. She is distracted from her work by a love of stories of all kinds—past, present and future.

In March 2010, Victoria’s short story The Drinker appeared in the vampire anthology Evolve. In 2006, her short story Buttons was published in the Canada speculative fiction anthology Tesseracts Ten.

In addition to writerly things, Victoria also enjoys music, history, science and photography. She can frequently be found with her camera; all the photographs featured on this website are Victoria’s.
